Mock drunk driving accident teaches Oxford students a valuable lesson about the consequences of driving under the influence.
The dramatization of the drunk-driving accident was held outside Oxford High School.
Drama students at Oxford High School performed a mock drunk-driving accident for their peers. The performance was held to teach students who will be attending the school prom on Saturday about the consequences of driving under the influence.
Alli Hayward, a OHS junior, said that being able to actually visualize the accident really impacted the students, especially after the death of one their fellow students to a drunk-driving incident.
After the mock accident, students listened to Hospital Wing Flight Nurse Ben Shannon tell his story regarding drunk-driving.
Oxford Police Department will be looking out for students under the influence with random breathalyzer tests coming to and from the prom.
Oxford Conference Center will hold the OHS prom this Saturday.
